University of Richmond Pregame Show 9/9/00

Announcer: Recently at the University, North Grounds experienced a gas leak which prompted the evacuation of several people from the area. When asked about the cause of the problem, workers on the scene replied: "That wasn't a gas leak! It was...THE AWARD-WINNING VIRGINIA PEP BAND!!"

Ann: In recent news, President Clinton has postponed a decision on creating a national missile defense system. However, University scientists have discovered a new weapon---one which we think is more deadly, more destructive, and even more invasive----Iiiiiiit's the AWARD-WINNING VIRGINIA PEP BAND!!!!

Do you like cheerleaders? Yeah, the Pep Band loves cheerleaders, and we like them even more now that we're featured in the new hit film "Bring It On." The Pep Band
can now be heard playing a stirring rendition of UVA's fight song, just like you can hear in the movie!

The Pep Band was going to write a joke about the ongoing construction around Grounds, but we just couldn't get it finished.
